My name is Steven Sass and I have been married to Marina for almost 16 years. We have two boys, Karl (12) and Fredrich (10). I have been in fulltime Ministry in the Dutch Reformed Church in South-Africa since 2002. I studied at the University of Stellenbosch and received the following degrees: Bth(IV) Mdiv. and licentiate in Theology. I served in the following Congregations : Elliot (Eastern Cape), Patensie (Eastern Cape) and Kleinmond (Western Cape). Marina is an Accountant and also studied at the same University completing a BCompt. degree. She has her own practice and works remotely with her South-African clients’ accounts.
We felt the Lord calling us to the Church of Scotland for a number of years and we are grateful to start this call here in Forres with our placement year and Rev Donald Prentice as my supervisor. We are looking forward to learning more about the history and culture of the Scottish people and the Kirk.
